Matt Pritchett was born in Henrico, raised in Powhatan County, and moved to Richmond City after graduating from East Carolina University with a degree in Architectural Design and Business Administration. Upon his return to the Richmond area he started a career in real estate sales with a top producing team at Keller Williams Realty.

Matt spent a decade with this team working as an administrator, transaction coordinator, director of operations, real estate agent, and property manager. His time there helped him gain a unique perspective on how one moves through a real estate transaction and how the home buying process works from start to finish. When the opportunity to work with Greg and Jesse at The Cowart Team presented itself to him, he took the plunge into mortgage with no hesitation. It provided him a chance to deepen his knowledge in an industry he already loved and grow as an entrepreneur by seeing firsthand how a different leader ran their team. 

Matt enjoys sharing his knowledge from his time in both the realtor world and lender world with his clients. This education is invaluable in helping them to achieve their real estate goals and feeling empowered to make informed decision. When Matt isn’t in the office there is nothing, he enjoys more than, playing fetch with his dog Boone, spending time with his loved ones, and being outside taking full advantage of all the commonwealth has to offer.
